Mitt Romney Quitting the Mormon Faith?

Note: A spokesman for Romney for President, Inc. has said that the below mentioned article from Boston Globe’s Scot Lehigh is false. It was described as a joke…(a joke in very poor taste I might add.)
There’s a shocking new article out of the Boston Globe that indicates that Mitt Romney is seeking a new religion. The article is called, “You Gotta Have Faith, Mitt”. When I called the Romney for President campaign offices for verification, they declined to give comment saying that an announcement regarding the statements in the article would be forthcoming.
”We were driving along in a blizzard and there came a bright beam out of the swirling snow, and then this booming voice,” Mitt Romney says in an imaginary - ah, extraordinary - webcast describing the event. Then, as the former Massachusetts governor recounts things, an authoritative voice intoned: ”You’ve lost your way. You’d better turn back before it’s too late. Follow my light and I’ll lead you to the right road.”
The article does use the word “imaginary”. But if I were the Boston Globe I would keep the imaginary articles for April Fool’s Day. Let’s wait for the announcement and see.
Here are some more excerpts from the article.
As to what denomination he intended to join, Romney says he is still unsure.
“Just as long as it’s popular in South Carolina, it’s okay with Mitt” -according to an un named source.
In his webcast, Romney tries to minimize the break, saying he hopes there will be no hard feelings among Mormons, and that he will continue to give generously to Brigham Young University, his alma mater.
”What’s more, Ann has agreed she will stay a Mormon, as will Tagg and Matt,” he said. ”The rest of the family will join me once I settle on a new faith.” –You Gotta Have Faith, Mitt, March 7, 2007
