The liberal media really let us down.  I was scanning the television channels on the morning of Tuesday, February 13th, looking for some mention of Governor Romney’s announcement and hoping to see some live coverage from Dearborn, Michigan.  I was mainly watching the big four networks of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox.

It was some time between 8am and 9am eastern that I heard Matt Lauer from NBC’s Today Show mention that Mitt Romney was set to deliver his speech.  I suspected that they would break away from their programming to at least get a portion of it live.  As I viewed the live stream of the event on the internet, I continuously flipped between the channels looking for coverage.  But I couldn’t find any.

When the evening came and the nightly news was on, I again flipped through the channels looking for some coverage of Romney’s speech.  I saw a very brief mention of it on one channel but nothing on the other news channels.  It’s possible that I missed it.

I am having difficulty finding the facts to support my assertions that there is a biased media coverage.  Let me use a comparison of media coverage for Barack Obama’s official announcement and Mitt Romney’s official announcement.  CNN carried Obama’s announcement from start to finish.  For Romney, CNN cut in to his speech in progress.  For the Obama speech, 523 media credentials were issued.  For Romney’s speech there were a reported three hundred something.
