Yesterday, CNN published an article titled “CNN Debunks False Report about Obama“. This came following several articles that have been out on the internet including the article I wrote about Obama’s Muslim ties and influences on January 12th. Of course, the news never really broke open, and CNN did not jump to the defense, until InsightMag.com ran an article on January 17th titled “Hillary’s team has questions about Obama’s Muslim background” that was picked up by Fox News and conservative talk radio.

The CNN article that is supposed to be in defense of Barack Hussein Obama clearly contrasts some of the statements made by Obama himself.

A quote from the CNN article…

School not a madrassa

But reporting by CNN in Jakarta, Indonesia and Washington, D.C., shows the allegations that Obama attended a madrassa to be false. CNN dispatched Senior International Correspondent John Vause to Jakarta to investigate.

The problem that we have here is that in Arabic the word “madrassa” means “school”. Are they saying that Barack Hussein Obama did not attend school?
Here’s another quote from the article…

“It’s not (an) Islamic school. It’s general,” Winadijanto said. “There is a lot of Christians, Buddhists, also Confucian. … So that’s a mixed school.”

This contrasts with what Obama has said, that it was a Muslim School. Here is a quote from his book titled “Dreams From My Father”.

In Indonesia, I’d spent 2 years at a Muslim school, 2 years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies.

InsightMag.com defends the integrity of its report in a new article titled “Insight Responds to a Washington Post Attack“.

“The problem that we have here is that in Arabic the word “madrassa” means “school”.”

That would only be a problem if Indonesia was an Arab country. Arabic is not spoken there, so the Arabic word for “school” is irrelevant.

This report is the biggest pile of garbage ever spewed forth that I’ve ever read. The author is well aware of the context within which the word “madrassa” was being used. May God forgive his ignorance.
