Barack Hussein Obama, a Muslim as Our President?

Freedom of religion and tolerance? Yes but… Barack Hussein Obama…doesn’t the name just jump out at you and ask you to ponder its significance? Let’s examine it quickly. The first name is Barack meaning “blessed” in Arabic. Middle name is Hussein as in the name Saddam Hussein. His last name is Obama - rhymes with Osama. To be fair, Obama calls himself a Christian. He is a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. However, there are strong indications that he remains Muslim at heart and has worn the cloak of Christianity only to begin and advance his political career. 
To quote Barack Obama..
“I was working with churches, and the Christians who I worked with recognized themselves in me. They saw that I knew their Book and that I shared their values and sang their songs. But they sensed that a part of me that remained removed, detached, that I was an observer in their midst.”
Columnist Andy Martin exposes frauds in Barack Obama’s book in the below quote.
“Fiction: Obama was given an ‘African’ name. Fact: Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion. I am a strong supporter of the Muslim community, and I believe Muslims have been scapegoated. Obama has a great opportunity to be forthright. Instead, he has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret. His grandfather was named ‘Hussein.’ That is an Arabic-Muslim, not African, name. Hussein was a devout Muslim and named his son, Barack Senior, ‘Baraka.’ Baraka is an Arabic word meaning ‘blessed.’ Baraka comes out of the Koran and Arabic, not Africa.
“Barack Senior was also a devoted Muslim, and also chose a Muslim name for his son, our own Barack Obama, Junior. Again, his name was an Arabic and Koranic.
Obama has spent a lifetime running from his family heritage and religious heritage. Would his father have given his son a Koranic name if the father was not a devout Muslim? Obama’s stepfather was also a Muslim. Obama will be the first Muslim-heritage senator; he should be proud of that fact. An article by syndicated columnist Debbie Schlussel on December 18th asked,
“is a man who Muslims think is a Muslim, who feels some sort of psychological need to prove himself to his absent Muslim father, and who is now moving in the direction of his father’s heritage, a man we want as President when we are fighting the war of our lives against Islam? Where will his loyalties be?”
Reply to Debbie Schlussel:
Debbie, we are not fighting against Islam and that was never the intent.
We were SUPPOSED to be looking for Bin Laden (college friend of Bush Jr. and business partners with the Bush family businesses) but JUNIOR gave the American people a red herring with Saddam Hussein.
NOW we are STUCK in a place we should not ever have been, trying to FORCE democracy down the throats of people who do NOT want it or us!!
I will only say that the Muslims who hi-jacked the planes and committed the horrific crime on 9/11, also lived in our communities and appeared to be good members of the community and if I remember correctly, some had become American citizens!!
They do not consider it a bad thing to lie to an enemy………… and they consider us THE ENEMY.
So keeping this in mind, he will not get my vote!
(1) Do you believe that anyone named John, Luke, Elizabeth, Mary, or Matthew who practices Christianity for their entire lives (as Obama has) is really Jewish because they have names that are etymologically Hebrew? (2) Who cares about the etymology of Obama’s name? Have you ever heard of the First Amendment? You are shamefully stupid and embarrassing the Romney campaign.
funny, this sort of intolerance could only come from republicans. they wont even accept a fellow christian like romney, much less a christian with an unusual name like barrack’s.
out of all the superficial reasons not to endorse someone, this is probably the the most absurd. Obama is openly christian, any attempt of calling him unchristian is a thinly veiled attempt at smearing him to win over fickle christians.

how stupid do you think Americans are? who is falling for this? you underestimate the intelligence of the American people and it already came back to hit romney hard. Obama is a better christian than Bush who openly claimed to be a good christian and even claimed that god spoke to him on several occasions.
Having a president who is christian with a name that echoes middle eastern culture is an amazing representation of how diverse the american people are, and the fact that the democrats are pushing him through as a candidate bodes well for them as an extremely progressive and groundbreaking party. I”ll tell you what, President obama will help undo a lot of the damage we’ve done to our international image in the muslim world even if he’s a christian with a muslim name. It certainly doesn’t hurt.

Religion does not come with genes. We pick our own religion. Name is our heritage. There are so many Latinos with the name “OMAR” which is an arabic name but ask they are catholics - hence a name is only representative of your cultural background - not your religion. If Obama says he is a Christian, then that’s what he is. It is a choice he made despite his father, his mother and his upbringing. That’s what makes Obama a unique person. Who has seen all about religion and made his pick. Barack Hussein Obama is Christian despite all - and he is proud of his heritage, can’t get any better than this.
